Yap, just that one, single, solo temple. There are three different statue inside of it, some 'arca' and 'pahatan' in the walls, but more on that...nothing.
So, our next stop was a big store (included restaurant) specialize on silver. My dad bought two rings for my mom, also one for me :D My mom's rings are looking great, yet mine...could be mistaken if I wore it at my 'jari manis'.
Now, our next stop was Candi Prambanan. This time we took a guide with us, who, luckily, a very attractive and funny man. Overall we liked him a lot. He told us every thing he knew about Prambanan.
Prambanan had many temple inside it's area. To be noticed, Prambanan located in the border of Jogja and Solo. The fences and the parking lot is already in the area of Solo, but the temple itself still in Jogja.
Unlike Borobudur and Mendut, Candi Prambanan was a Hindu temple. And...I don't know whether it's because I wasn't notice it when the first time I went there, but the temple astonished me.
Very much.
Unlike Borobudur, the Prambanan was higher and more singular. It was found by the Dutch in such a miserable condition. The temple was litteraly damaged, so the Dutch had to restore them every pieces. Prambanan has three largest temples, each made to resemble the three deities of Hindu:
Brahma, the god who creates everything on earth.
Siwa, the god of destruction.
Wisnu, the god of keeper.
In front of the three largest temples, lies three other temples, dedicated to the gods' ride.
Brahma's ride is a swan.
Siwa's ride is an ox.
Wisnu's ride is a garuda.
Unfortunately, only the ox surfives. The other two was still missing.
The process of restoring Prambanan is ongoing, but the earthquake on 2006 destroyed it again. Now the process still on the way, and I was sured that they had a lot of work to do.
Anyway, we were thinking of attending the Ramayana Ballet, but since it was very late and we're all very tired, we just decided to go home. We didn't even went out to dinner. But this temple-trip-day was very amazing!
